Preparing for Installation
For a successful hardwood installation, preparation is very important. First, a flat, clean surface will be required for hardwood flooring. In order to prepare the area for your new flooring, it may be necessary to remove your existing flooring, and this process can vary. Second, in the rooms where your new hardwood flooring is to be installed, all of the furniture in these rooms will need to be removed.
On the day of installation, we request a member of your household who is at least 18 or older be available to greet the installation crew and show them the work area. We ask, for everyone’s safety, that you keep children and pets away from the work area until the installation is complete.

Daily Care & Maintenance
To prevent scratching and denting, we recommend using doormats in your home and removing shoes before walking across your hardwood flooring. The use of floor protectors under all heavy furniture is highly recommended. It is important to never drag furniture across your hardwood floors.
Frequently vacuum your hardwood floors using a manufacturer-approved vacuum cleaner. Make sure to sweep and dry mop your floor. When using cleaning solutions, make sure they are also manufacturer-approved and hire a professional floor cleaning company to handle any deep cleans.
Dealing with Spills
No matter how careful you and your family are, you will encounter an occasional mess on your hardwood flooring. It is important to address them as soon as possible. Wipe away common spills, such as milk, water, and pet accidents, with a clean cloth. Be sure to tend to any liquid spills immediately, as hardwood flooring is not water-resistant!
